We get a lot of questions about this subject, which is better, what's the difference? Why do I need sleeves?
WHY DO I NEED SLEEVES?
A sleeve adds warmth, limits patella movement, can increase proprioception and improves performance. The support that they provide really does help hold the entire knee in place and thus helps prevent injury.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
Due to the straight cut style and elasticated nature of our Dual-Ply Knee Sleeve, they give a great stretch reflex and bounce from a squat position, the elbow sleeves also improve the any pressing movement in the same way enabling you to get more reps or lift more weight. Neoprene knee sleeves are designed to protect your knee from future injury and reduce risk of damage during all forms of weight/resistance training and sports. Our strong neoprene provides a secure fit which provides support and compression. The SUPPORT from the sleeves limits patella movement, and can increase proprioception (the capacity to feel the position of a joint in space as sensed by the central nervous system). This gives you increased joint stability and higher muscle coordination. COMPRESSING the knee encourages blood flow through the blood vessels of the knee the results in less pain and swelling during and after performance.
WHICH IS BETTER?
Well the answer to that is both. They are for different things. If you are looking for something to give you more weight and reps then Dual Ply Sleeves are the ticket for you, but if you want full range of movement, comfort and warmth then Neoprene Sleeves are just what you need.
